Charles Lee Cox Jr.

History has always been a passion of mine. Since I can remember, I've always wanted to learn about our past and see how it affects the future. Growing up in the Southeast, the Gulf South always intrigued me. I grew up thirty minutes from the beach, and the coastal communities have always been a big part of my life. The founding of those areas is what I love the most That is where my research interest comes from. Outside of my work, my dog Buckley is my life. I enjoy being outside with him as much as possible.

I graduated high school from Crestview High School in Crestview, Florida, in 2011. After taking a few years off, I attended Northwest Florida State College, where I graduated with my Associate of Arts Degree in the summer of 2018. Just recently, in May of 2020, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of West Florida. In May 2022, I graduated with my Masters degree in Early American History from the University of West Florida, where I worked under Dr. Erin Stone. I am now attending Texas Christian University, where I am working towards my Ph. D. is History.
